The Wilcox County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of DeQuarius L. Pritchett, age 32, of Arlington, whose life was tragically cut short in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 18. DeQuarius was fatally struck in a single-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 5 near mile marker 6, approximately two miles south of the Pine Hill city limits. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
DeQuarius was more than a name in a news report—he was a son, a family member, a friend, and a valued part of the Wilcox County community. Known for his warm spirit and familiar presence, he carried himself with a sense of kindness and authenticity that made people feel seen and respected.
