On Saturday morning, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a home in the 3400 block of Vale Court, off Smoketown Road. There, they discovered an unimaginable scene — four lives lost within the walls of what should have been a place of safety and love.
Authorities identified the deceased as 40-year-old Danxiong Gao, his 69-year-old mother Kegang Xie, and his 2-year-old son. Police also identified 35-year-old Ziyi Lu as the presumed suspect in what investigators have described as a murder-suicide. According to officials, all four died from knife wounds.
