Lake Hamilton, FL — The community is heartbroken following a tragic boating accident on Lake Hamilton Sunday night that claimed the lives of Edis Miller and her beloved partner, Justin Hall.
Edis, a former Cardiac Cath Lab CVT, RCIS at UF Health St. Johns and St. Johns County foster parent, was a woman whose compassion touched countless lives. She dedicated herself to caring for others, both through her career in healthcare and in her role as a foster parent. Those who knew her remember her radiant smile, her unwavering kindness, and her ability to make everyone feel cared for and seen.
Justin Hall, her partner, is being remembered as a man full of warmth and love. Friends say he shared a special bond with Edis — their relationship was one of laughter, devotion, and mutual support. Together, they created memories full of joy, adventure, and love.
A Daughter’s Heartbreak
The greatest weight of this tragedy falls on Edis’s daughter, Arianna, who has now lost both of her parents far too soon. Her father passed away just two years ago, and now, with the sudden loss of her mother, Arianna faces life without either parent’s presence and guidance.
“My mother has just passed away from a boating accident. That has left a huge hole in my heart as well as leaving me alone,” Arianna shared.
Rallying Around Arianna
Friends, family, and community members are stepping in to surround Arianna with love and support. A GoFundMe page has been launched to help her cover funeral expenses, daily needs, and education as she navigates life after such an unimaginable loss.

A Legacy of Love and Kindness
The loss of both Edis and Justin has left a deep void. They will be remembered not for the tragedy of their passing, but for the love, laughter, and light they brought into the lives of others. Their memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew them — and most especially in Arianna, who carries forward their strength, kindness, and love.
May Edis Miller and Justin Hall rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
